Irene Engard- Former PFS Investments Broker-Barred From FINRA- Federal Way, WA

According to publicly available records, former PFS Investments, Inc,  financial advisor Irene Engard,  has been barred from the securities industry.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In May of 2020  in FINRA case 2019064765701 Engard was  permanently barred from the securities industry to resolve allegations that she refused to provide documents and information requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation of an outside business activity.  Engard was permanently barred from FINRA in all capacities.

 Engard was employed by PFS Investments, Inc. from October of 1992 until November 2019 when she was discharged after allegations that she refused to produce documents and information requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation of her outside business activity.

Daniel Staudacher-Worth Financial Group Broker-Discloses 2 Regulatory Events, a Customer Dispute and 6 Tax Liens-Dallas, TX

June 2020- Dallas, TX

The FINRA records of Daniel W. Staudacher, a broker currently registered with Worth Financial Group, disclose 2 regulatory events, a customer dispute and 6 pending IRS liens.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In September 2019 FINRA case #2017053574801  was filed, alleging that Staudacher associated with his member firm while under a one-month, all capacities suspension from associating with any member firm.    He associated with the firm while subject to a statutory disqualification that resulted from his FINRA suspension.    The findings also stated that to accommodate his clients, Staudacher electronically affixed customer’s signatures on new securities account applications by entering the last four digits of the customers’ social securities numbers on the applications.    He was suspended from FINRA for two months and was given a monetary fine of $10,000.

In January 2017, FINRA case #2016048603001 was filed alleging that Staudacher executed unauthorized transactions in two different customer accounts.   The finding stated that with respect to one of the customers, Staudacher did not contact her and obtain her authorization prior to executing the transactions in her accounts.  After these customers complained, Staudacher’s member firm reversed these transactions in their accounts and made them whole.   Staudacher’s firm imposed a total of $10,000 in monetary sanctions as a result of his unauthorized trading.  FINRA imposed a one month suspension and a $5,000 fine.

In December 2015, a customer of Staudacher’s prior employer, PFS Investments, Inc., alleged that unauthorized transactions were made in her accounts.    The case was settled.

between August 2011 and January 2018 the IRS filed 6 tax liens against Staudacher . These liens, which total more than $350,000, are still pending.

Staudacher has been employed with Worth Financial Group, Inc.  since September of 2017.    Before that he worked with PFS Investment, Inc. and Primerica Financial Services.

Robert Renteria- Former PFS Investments Financial Advisor-Terminated for Borrowing From Customer-El Paso, TX

According to publicly available records of Robert Renteria (CRD#5773053) ,  a broker formerly employed with PFS Investments, Inc., discloses a regulatory event, a settled customer dispute and a termination.

FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In December of 2019, FINRA case 2019063663401 was filed alleging that Renteria borrowed money from two member firm customers without the firm’s prior knowledge or approval. His firm detected that he was using funds from his own bank account to purchase securities for the customer, and commenced an investigation.  Renteria informed the firm that he had borrowed money for the customer and that he was purchasing securities to repay the loan.    The findings also stated that Renteria falsely certified on the firm’s annual compliance questionnaires that he had not borrowed money from any firm customer. Renteria was suspended for 3 months starting in 12/2019 and ordered to pay restitution of $6,000.

In 10/1997 Renteria was convicted of misdemeanor theft in El Paso County, Texas. He was fined $752 and subject to 18 months probation and community service.

Renteria was employed with PFS Investments, Inc. from April of 2010 until August of 2019, when he was discharged as a result of allegations that he had borrowed money from a securities customer.  Before that he was employed with Primerica Financial Services.

Malcolm J. Babin-Former PFS Investments Broker – Barred by Securities Regulators

July 30, 2015-Baton Rouge, LA

According to FINRA records, Malcolm Jamil Babin  entered into a Letter of Acceptance Waiver and Consent (AWC) with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to resolve allegations that he  failed to provide documents and information to FINRA in connection with an investigation into allegations that he converted non-Firm customer funds and engaged in undisclosed outside business activities. AWC NO. 20150454876-01

Babin  was  barred from the industry.

According to FINRA records, Babin joined PFS Investments in September 2007 and was voluntarily discharged in December 2008. He rejoined PFS Investments in September 2009.  He was discharged from PFS Investments in May 2015.

PFS Investments, a subsidiary of Primerica Finance Corp.  has been registered since 1981 and is headquartered in Duluth, GA.

Yuvraj Taneja=Former PFS Investments Broker-Barred from Industry for Selling Phony Insurance Policies

August19, 2015-Herndon, VA

According to FINRA records, Yuvraj Taneja , entered into a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent (AWC)  with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to resolve allegations that she electronically submitted at least 53 fictitious applications for term life insurance policies on behalf of purported customers that did not exist and created fake names for the applicants. Taneja submitted and paid for these fictitious applications in order to wind a contest sponsored by the insurance company, according to the AWC. AWC  No. 2014043322301

Taneja was permanently barred from the securities industry. According to FINRA records, Taneja  was registered with PFS Investments in Herndon, VA.,  from 6/2014-11/2014.
