Azeem Sheikh-National Securities Broker-Discloses Customer Disputes-Miami, FL

The FINRA records of Mohammed Azeem Sheikh ,  a  stockbroker who is employed by  National Securities Corp.  disclose 3  prior customer dispute and one pending customer dispute.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In pending FINRA case 17-0554 a customer of National Securities Corp  seeks  damages of $780,504 and alleges  negligence,  breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and misrepresentation.

Azeem Sheikh has been employed by National Securities Corp. since 11/2011. Prior to that he was employed by VFinance Investments.

In pending FINRA Case 15-0049 a customer alleges damages of $2,500,000 for poor recommendations and poor advice in connection with the purchase of asset-backed security.

Alan R. Pacella-ViewTrade Securities Broker-Discloses Pending Investigation

According to FINRA records, Alan R. Pacella  a stock broker who works for ViewTrade Securities  discloses a regulatory matter that has been finalized , a customer dispute that has been finalized and a pending regulatory investigation.

FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

Pacella’s FINRA record discloses that FINRA instituted an investigation in September 2015 for potential violations of Section 5 of the Securities Act of 1933 and FINRA Rule 2010. Examination #20140404879.

Section 5 of the Securities Act of 1933 regulates the timeline and distribution process for issuers who offer securities for sale. FINRA Rule 2010 is entitled Standards of Commercial Honor and Principles of Trade and states that “A member, in the conduct of its business, shall observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade.”

Daren Dorval Investigation-Legend Securities Broker

FINRA records report that Daren Dorval, who has been registered with Legend Securities since 9/2009, is named in a 3 currently pending arbitrations:

  • FINRA Case 15-802 filed by a Florida resident, alleges that Dorval was not licensed to sell securities in Florida, made false statements of material fact, engaged in unauthorized transactions, failed to follow instructions, engaged in churning and stock manipulation and improperly used margin borrowing in the account. The customer alleges damages of $150,000.
  • FINRA Case 15-1904. The customer alleges that Dorval executed unauthorized transactions in the account and seeks damages of $260,000.
  • FINRA Case 13-2638-FINRA also lists this case as 13-2630. The client claims excessive trading for the purpose of generating commissions, that Dorval ignored the client’s wishes to trade conservatively and continued to manage the account in an extremely aggressive manner and that Dorval refused to make good on an executed settlement agreement. The customer alleges damages of $500,000.

Daren Dorval has been named in a customer dispute in which a customer alleged unauthorized trading and failure to follow instructions. That case was settled in 8/2010 for $30,000.

Brian K. Decker Investigation-Legend Securities Broker

FINRA records report that Brian K. Decker, who has been registered with Legend Securities since 9/2009, is named in a 2 currently pending arbitrations:

  • FINRA Case 15-889 by a customer who alleges that Decker engaged in fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty and churning and is seeking damages of $150,000.
  • FINRA Case 15-802 filed by a Florida resident, alleges that Decker was not licensed to sell securities in Florida, made false statements of material fact, engaged in unauthorized transactions, failed to follow instructions, engaged in churning and stock manipulation and improperly used margin borrowing in the account. The customer alleges damages of $150,000.

Brian Decker has been named in nine other customer disputes that have been resolved, including:

  • A July 2015 settlement of $35,000 to a customer alleging failure to supervise and unsuitable investments.
  • FINRA Case 14-2734 alleging violation of Colorado securities and consumer protection laws, negligence and common law fraud, settled for $14,999.
  • FINRA Case 12-1033 alleging breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, churning and fraud settled for $32,500.
