Jaime R. Rodriguez- Former Cuso Financial Services Broker – Permanently Barred from Industry by FINRA for Stealing from Elderly, Blind Customer- Port Chester, NY

The FINRA records of  Jamie R. Rodriguez,  a  former stockbroker who was last employed by Cuso Financial Services disclose he  has been barred from the securities industry by FINRA who found that he converted funds from an elderly, blind customer.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In August of 2017  Jaime R. Rodriguez was permanently barred from the securities industry by FINRA.   “Rodriguez consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that he converted approximately $200,000 from an elderly and legally blind customer and used these funds to purchase two apartments in Rodriguez’ name.  The findings stated that when the customer’s apartment lease was terminated, Rodriguez offered with assist the customer with locating and purchasing a residence.  Rodriguez purchased an apartment for approximately $70,000 in the Bronx, NY using the customer’s funds.  The apartment was supposed to be purchased in the customer’s name.  Unbeknownst to the customer, Rodriguez was the sole beneficial owner of the residence.  The customer was unable to see or read the documents due to his disability. ”    

Rodriguez  was employed by HSBC Securities from 12/2010-7/2014, followed by terms of employment with Capital One Investment Services, Capital One Investing and CUSO Financial.

Maria Fan-Former Wilmington Capital Broker-Discloses Customer Dispute

According to FINRA records,  Maria Fan  a stockbroker who most recently worked for Wilmington Capital Securities, but is not currently registered with any firm,   discloses  a currently pending customer dispute and 2 prior customer disputes that are final.

In the currently pending matter, a customer while Maria Fan was employed by Aegis Capital Corp. alleges damages of $80,000 as a result of transactions that were executed in her account without her knowledge or consent.

Maria Fan’s prior employment includes Aegis Capital, HSBC Securities, Merrill Lynch and Caldwell International Securities.

HSBC Securities Broker Barred From Securities Industry by Regulator

August 6, 2015- Thousand Oaks, CA

Gehrin Michael Ortiz , entered into a Letter of Acceptance Waiver and Consent (AWC) with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to resolve allegations that he failed to disclose material information to FINRA on his Form U4.

AWC No.2013036666401

Ortiz was barred from the securities industry.

According to FINRA records, Ortiz  was registered with HSBC Securities   from 11/2012-4/2014. He was terminated by HSBC Securities  4/2014 after FINRA notified the firm that Ortiz had been suspended for failing to comply with an arbitration award.

HSBC Securities Ordered to Pay $3.2 Million in FINRA Arbitration

January 12, 2015- Miami, Florida

A FINRA arbitration panel in Miami, Florida , ordered HSBC Securities (USA), Inc. and broker Mark Richard Corbet Yale  to pay a customer, Blue Bank International,  $3,250,000 in compensatory damages for losses on Junior Notes offered by H.E.A.T. Mezzanini I-2006, a collateralized debt obligation.  Blue Bank International N.V. v HSBC Securities, et al , FINRA Case # 12-2582.
