Ryan M. Murnane-Former Alexander Capital Broker-Discloses Discharge and Customer/Regulatory Complaints

According to publicly available records Ryan M. Murnane  , (CRD# 4784140) ,  a   former stockbroker who last worked for Alexander Capital and Woodstock Financial Group,  discloses a pending customer dispute, 5 prior final customer disputes, a regulatory investigation, a termination from employment and 2 outstanding judgment/liens.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In January 2017, Murnane was discharged by Woodstock Financial Group who made the following allegation on his FINRA record: “Rep destroyed the personal computer of another registered person and rep had a New York State Tax lien the he failed to disclose to us (it was discovered by FINRA)”

In February 2017 Montana securities regulators commenced an investigation after a resident of that state complained that he had been contacted numerous times by Murnane, who was not registered to do business in the state of Montana.

Murnane also worked for Rockwell Securities from 10/2010-12/2013.

Barry M. Kiront-Craft Capital Management Broker Discloses Customer Disputes

The FINRA records of  Barry M. Kiront,  a  stockbroker who is currently employed by  Craft Capital Management  disclose 10 prior customer disputes that are final and one currently pending customer dispute.

FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In March 2015, Kiront disclosed that a customer of his former employer Woodstock Financial Group brought a complaint alleging damages of $196,323 for churning , unsuitability and possibly fraud. That case was settled for $30,000.

In the currently pending matter, FINRA Case 15-0458, a customer of Kiront while he was employed by Woodstock Financial Group alleges damages of $118,375 for churning, excessive commissions, unsuitable trading, violations of Mississippi securities laws and other claims.

Kiront has been registered with Craft Capital Management since 3/2015. He was registered with Woodstock Financial Group from 3/1998-3/2015.

According to FINRA records,  Sean P. McCabe , currently a broker with Worden Capital Management discloses 2  pending customer disputes and 2 finalized customer disputes.

Currently pending cases:

  • FINRA Case 16-595- A customer of National Securities Corp alleges damages of $550,000 for negligent misrepresentation and breach of fiduciary.
  • FINRA Case 16-594- A customer of National Securities Corp alleges damages of $150,000 for breach of fiduciary duty and negligent misrepresentation.

In FINRA Case 15-1338 a customer of National Securities Corp alleged damages of $250,144 for excessive trading, unauthorized trading, misrepresentation, negligence and breach of fiduciary duty. That case was settled for $65,000 8/2016.

McCabe has been registered with Worden Capital Management since 6/2015. Prior to that he was registered with Four Points Capital Partners, National Securities Corporation and Woodstock Financial Group.

  • FINRA Case 15-0736- customer alleges churning, unsuitable investment recommendations, misrepresentation and breach of contract. Damages are alleged to be $168,924.
  • FINRA Case 15-0458-customer alleges churning, excessive commissions, quantitative unsuitable trading, unauthorized trading, fraud and other claims. Damages are alleged to be !118,375.

Tinnelly’s  FINRA record reports six prior customer disputes that have been settled, including:

  • FINRA Case @13-02289 where a customer alleged undisclosed markups/markdowns, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and unscrupulous trading and churning. That case was settlement for $125,000.
