Edward A. Horwitz-Western International Securities Broker-Discloses Customer Dispute-Deerfield, IL

According to publicly available records Edward Alan Horwitz (CRD#2154232) ,  a  stockbroker currently registered with Western International Securities, Inc., discloses a customer dispute.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In FINRA Case 14-3686, a customer of Horwitz & Associates, Inc.  alleged breach of fiduciary duty, negligence , negligent misrepresentation, and unjust enrichment and sought damages of $$10,000.  In 8/2016 the case was settled for $150,000.

Horwitz has been employed  by Western International Securities since 4/2013. He was previously employed by Horwitz & Associates and by Insight Securities.

Former GBS Financial Broker Scott Glazer Charged with Stock Manipulations

December 22, 2014

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Department of Market Regulation filed a complaint against Scott Neal Glazer alleging that from January 2009-December 2011, Glazer employed manipulative and deceptive devices and contrivances in connection with purchases and sales of National Technical Systems, Inc. (NTSC). 

According to the complaint, Glazer personally owned significant quantities of NTSC shares and he and others manipulated the stock to prevent  a decline in price.

According to FINRA records, Glazer is currently registered with Western International Securities. He was registered with GBS Financial Corp from 10/2002-12/2013.

Rex Securities Law Investigates Robin Bruce Davidson, former LPL Financial/Western International Securities Broker

We are in the process of filing an arbitration action with the
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on behalf of a retired individual who was sold unsuitable investments, including non-traded REITs, by Robin B. Davidson   . Davidson, who formerly worked for LPL Financial and Western International Securities, Inc., was suspended by FINRA for 16 months and fined $10,000. The FINRA allegations leading to the consent which Davidson agreed to included:

  • Davidsonparticipated in private securities transactions involving a managedforeign currency exchange which resulted in losses to dients in excessof $2 million dollars
  • Davidson forged a customer’s name to account related documents

Davidsons CRD indicates numerous customer complaints for unsuitable investments and payouts on settlements exceed $1 million.
