In September 2014, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) announced that Jason M. Meyers, a former broker with ICM Capital Markets, Ltd., was permanently from the securities industry. Meyers, without admitting or denying the charges, consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that he misappropriated at least $700,000 of funds raised in a series of private securities offerings.
The funds were purportedly raised to buy the broker-dealer where Meyers worked. Between June 2006 and September 2011, Meyers raised about $3 million for investment in ICMC Holdings, an entity he created and controlled. A significant portion of the funds raised were used by Meyers for his own personal use without the knowledge or consent of the investors.
ICM Capital Markets, changed its name to Lampert Capital Markets, Inc. according to FINRA records.
