According to publicly available records Michael Lynn Melton an Edward Jones broker, discloses a pending customer dispute.
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In FINRA case #22-01703, an Edward Jones customer alleges that individually and in her capacity as Executrix of deceased client’s Estate, alleges through various causes of action, that Edward Jones permitted the wrongful transfer of funds to Claimant’s brother from her deceased mother’s Edward Jones account. Claimant questions the mother’s capacity to give instructions for such transfers and likewise challenges the validity and approval of a power of attorney. The alleged damages are $332,353 and the case is currently pending.
