Crystal Turk Investigation

February  2023 – Dallas, TX

According to publicly attained records, Crystal Turk, a stockbroker who was last employed by JP Morgan Securities , discloses a 2 month regulatory suspension and a termination of employment.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In September 2022, FINRA suspended Turk for two months and ordered her to pay a fine of $2,500 to resolve allegations that she made negligent misrepresentations in a loan application she submitted to the Small Business Administration to obtain an Economic Injury Disaster Loan.  The findings stated that Turk was considering starting a company to sell baked goods.  Turk negligently misrepresented that she had already established a sole proprietorship and that it had earned revenues.  In fact, Turk had not started the business at the time she completed the loan application.

As a result of this finding, Turk was discharged from employment with JP Morgan Chase Bank, NA.   Turk had been with them since March of 2013.
