The FINRA records of Michael J. Valenta , a broker with Cambridge Investment Research Advisors, disclose recently filed suits by customers seeking damages for oil and gas investments in properties located in the Eagleford area of Texas.
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.
During May, June and July of 2022, three FINRA arbitrations were filed by customers of Valenta alleging that investments in direct investments, including oil and gas investments were not suitable. One of the suits seek damages of $800,000. The other two suits do not specify the amount of damages sought.
Michael Valenta has been employed by Cambridge Investment Research Advisors since 6/2008. . His FINRA records indicate he is currently affiliated with Valenta Capital Management.
