According to publicly available records Elizabeth M. Layne (aka Elizabeth Muse Hearn & Elizabeth Anne Muse) a  broker with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney discloses a large pending customer dispute.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In November of 2021, a Morgan Stanley customer alleged that Layne recommended an unsuitable options investment strategy which caused damages of $15,708,558.   This case is pending.

Layne has been employed with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney since February of 2002.
