Sean Casterline Investigation

Updated December 2023

Maitland, FL

According to publicly available records Sean Casterline a  stockbroker who was suspended for 18 months (1/2022-7/2023) and who last worked for Delta Securities Company  discloses a regulatory event  and a currently pending customer dispute.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In 12/2021, Casterline consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that he participated in private securities transactions without providing prior notice to his member firm.    Sanctions ordered by FINRA are an 18 month suspension starting in 1/2022 and a $116,325 fine levied against Casterline individually.

In 11/2023 a customer of International Assets Advisory filed a FINRA arbitration alleging that Casterline breached his fiduciary duty and violated state securities statutes causing damages of between $100,000-$500,000. This matter is currently pending.

Casterline was employed with Delta Securities Company from March of 2014 to January of 2017 and then again in May of 2018 until January of 2022.    He had previously been employed with International Assets Advisory, Sterne Agee Financial Services and Premiere Trade Securities.
