Gerardo Castillo Investigation

March 2022- Miami, FL

The FINRA records of Gerardo Ivan Castillo,  a broker with Insigneo Securities and who formerly worked for Wells Fargo Clearing Services,  disclose a prior customer dispute.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In 12/2019, FINRA case #19-03607 was filed by a Wells Fargo Clearing Services customer alleging that Castillo excessively traded their account and misrepresented the account for the primary purpose of generating commissions.    That case was settled in the amount of $125,000.

Gerardo Castillo  has been employed with Insigneo Securities/Advisory Services since June of 2018.   Before that time he was with Wells Fargo Clearing Services, Citigroup Global Markets and Citicorp Investment Services.
