According to publicly available records, David Michael Becker, a former Cetera Advisors broker discloses a pending customer dispute.
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.
In July of 2021, in FINRA case #21-01718, a customer of Cetera Advisors alleges suitability, fraud, breach of contract, negligent supervision breach of contract and negligence in connection with the purchase of alternative real estate investment. The case is still pending. Damages are an unspecified amount.
Becker has been employed by Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investments, Inc. since August of 2019, Before that he was with Cetera Advisors from 10.2007-6/2019.
