According to publicly available records Evan Schottenstein (CRD#4929175), a  former stockbroker who last worked for J.P. Morgan Securities (JPMS),  has been permanently barred from FINRA.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In December of 2021, in case #2019063430401, FINRA alleged that Schottenstein refused to provide on the record testimony requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation regarding issues raised in the From U5 filed by his former member in which he was terminated for concerns related to trading activity for the account of a family member and the accuracy of the records regarding the same.    Schottenstein was permanently barred as a result of this investigation.

In July 2019, a JPMS customer filed FINRA case #19-02053 alleging constructive fraud/abuse of fiduciary duty; fraudulent misrepresentations and omissions and elder abuse in violation of Chapter 415, FL Statutes.   The customer was awarded $9,000,000 which was paid by Schottenstein individually.

In June 2019,  Schottenstein was discharged by JPMS after concerns relating to trading activity for the account of a family member, and the accuracy of the records regarding the same.

Schottenstein had worked for J.P. Morgan Securities since June of 2009.
