According to publicly available records, Randall H. Fields, a registered investment advisor last employed by Facilitar Capital Group, Sensus Wealth Management Group and Acruence Capital , discloses a regulatory event.
The Texas State Securities Board (TSSB) is responsible for administering and enforcing the Texas Securities Act.
FIELDS OPTION TRADING STRATEGY
In 5/2021 the TSSB issued order IC21-REV-02 in which they revoked the registration of Randall Fields as an investment adviser representative and ordered that Fields cease and desist from engaging in fraudulent contact. The actions of the TSSB were the results of an investigation into an options trading strategy which Fields employed with certain clients. According to TSSB findings the strategy was aggressive and involved the simultaneous buying and selling call or put options at different strike prices in an attempt to realize immediate profit based on the price spreads. TSSB found this to be a very high-risk strategy.
Over one five month period, the TSSB found that one client’s account lost about $12,000 while Fields receive performance fees of more than $33,000. TSSB found that Fields breached his fiduciary duties, made unsuitable recommendations and that he failed to seek best execution for these clients.
