According to publicly available records Thomas Jenkins Parker (CRD#356789) ,  a  stockbroker who is currently registered with Thoroughbred Financial Services,  disclose 2 prior regulatory events, 9 prior customer disputes  and a pending regulatory investigation

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In 12/2018, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission  filed a complaint #2-18952 seeking that Cease and Desist proceedings  be instituted against Thoroughbred Financial Services (TFS) and Thomas Jenkins Parker and Lawrence Randall “Randy” Hartley alleging breaches of fiduciary duty and inadequate disclosures by TFS, Parker and Hartley in connection with their mutual fund share class selection practices, as well as misleading statements and omissions. Parker was required to pay disgorgement of $217,883, prejudgment interest of $31,750 and a civil penalty of $75,000.

Earlier in his career, in 2/2000, Parker was sanctioned by the SEC for failing to supervise a former registered representative Joseph Taylor who operated a large scale Ponzi scheme.

In 3/ 2019, the Department of Commerce and Insurance of Tennessee initiated an investigation of Parker to determine if Parker has violated TN Insurance Law Code.  This investigation is pending.

From November of 1996 until May of 2002, nine customer disputes were filed in Circuit – TN courts against Thomas Jenkins Parker alleging failure to reasonably supervise the activities of Joseph C. Taylor.   Those cases were all settled in the cumulative amount exceeding $500,000.
