The FINRA records of Christopher G. Orlando , a former financial advisor who was last employed by Spartan Capital Securities disclose a regulatory event and two customer disputes.
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.
In 6/2021 to resolve FINRA allegations that he engaged in quantitatively unsuitable trading in customer accounts (churning) he was permanently barred, in all capacities, from the securities industry. FINRA found that Orlando’s customers lost over $480,000 while paying total trading costs/commissions of more than $581,000.
Christopher Orlando was with Spartan Capital from 1/2020-6/2021. He was registered with Worden Capital Management from 11/2018-12/2019.His prior employment in the financial industry includes Legend Securities, Inc. , National Securities Corporation and Joseph Gunnar & Co.
