According to publicly available records William  (“Bill”) Michael Council  (CRD#848504) ,  a  stockbroker who is currently registered with Raymond James & Associates, Inc.,  disclose  3 pending customer disputes and 5 currently outstanding judgment/liens.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In November 2018, a client of D.A. Davidson & Co., Council’s prior employer, filed FINRA case 18-04049 alleging that Council recommended unsuitable securities. The customer is seeking damages of $334,000.

In December of 2018, another D.A. Davidson & Co. customer alleged unsuitable securities recommendations by Council  in FINRA case 19-00010.   The customer is seeking damages of $105,000 .

In November 2018, a third D.A. Davison & Co. customer filed FINRA case 18-04051 alleging Council recommended unsuitable high risk securities and is seeking damages of $50,000.

Council has been employed with Raymond James & Associates since January 2015.   He was employed with D.A. Davidson & Co. from November 2013 until January 2015.   He was with Crowell Weedon, & Co. before that.
