UPDATE AUGUST 2016– According to public records, Ryan Boggs is named in Case #16-0023/ 20150459600 filed by the Chicago Board of Options Exchange alleging that Boggs, on behalf of MNR Executions, LLC, violated Exchange Rules 4.1, 6.43, 6.45B, 6.73 and 6.74 mirroring cross trades.

According to FINRA records, Ryan R. Boggs   a broker who is currently registered  with Waddell & Reed , discloses that he is being investigated by securities regulators.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

Ryan R. Boggs  recently disclosed that he had received a WELLS letter from FINRA regarding the trade that happened on CBOE on VIX on April 10, 2014.

A WELLS Notice is a letter that the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) sends to people or firms when it is planning to bring an enforcement actions against them. The notice indicates that the SEC staff has determined it may bring a civil action against a person or firm, and provides the person or firm the opportunity to provide information as to why the enforcement action should not be brought.

Ryan Boggs has been registered with Waddell & Reed since3/2015. He was previously registered with MNR Executions from 10/2013-1/2015. The VIX is the ticker symbol for the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOE) Volatility Index, a popular measure of the implied volatility of the S&P 500 index.
