The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced fraud charges against 11 former board members and executives of Birmingham, Alabama- based Superior Bank, which failed in 2011. The SEC alleged that the fraud involved many of the large loans in Superior’s portfolio.
Only two of the 11 are contesting the complaint: Kenneth D. Pomeroy, former president of Superior’s central Florida region and William C. McKinnon, a former senior vice president and commercial loan officer.
Those settling, without admitting or denying the SEC charges, are:

- William H. Caughran
- Charles W. Roberts III
- Robert R. Parrish Jr
- Charles M. Scott Jr.
- John E. Figlewski
- George J. Hall
