The FBI announced that Frank Edwin Pate, 47, of Bonham, Texas, was sentenced to 210 months in prison for operating a currency trading scheme. He was also ordered to pay restitution in excess of $2.8 million.
The victims believed they were investing with Pate for the purpose of trading foreign currency but instead Pate spent a large portion of the money raised for personal expenses.
