Mark Lee Cleaton, 34, of Rockwell, Texas, was convicted on felony offenses for running a fraud scheme as managing member of North American Capital, LLC , and through North American Capital Investment Fund.
According to the FBI Press Release, Cleaton solicited $350,000 through the companies promising to invest the money in short term high yield real estate projects but instead used the money for personal expenses and did not invest any of it.
He was convicted on four counts, each one carrying a maximum penalty of 20 years. Sentencing is set for February 4, 2016.
