The Securities and Exchange Commission announced that Manny J. Shulman and David K. Herschman were charged with violating the securities laws for their involvement in the fraudulent sale of unregistered securities in now-defunct Caribbean Pacific Marketing, Inc.
The SEC alleges that filings failed to disclose that Shulman has had prior securities fraud issues or that William J. Reilly, also a securities fraud recidivist and disbarred attorney, was involved in management of the company.
Instead of using the money raised for the intended business purposes, it was misappropriated, according to the SEC.
