Andrew Lee Siegel, 56, a Dallas attorney pleaded guilty to felony offenses involving copyright infringement and investor fraud and was sentenced by US District Judge Ed Kinkeade to serve 12 months and one day in federal prison and pay over $285,000 in restitution.
Siegel formed Dynasty Spirits and Speak Easy Distillers to produce and sell “Nue Vodka“. He also operated Vanguard Spirits which was to produce and sell “Vanguard Vodka“. In connection with these companies, he raised about $1.6 million through a private placement but concealed from investors that he unlawfully used over $400,000 for personal benefit.
