US Attorney for Nebraska Deborah Gilg announced that Scott Usher, 46, of Lincoln, was sentenced to seven years in prison and ordered to pay over $500,000 in restitution for wire fraud in connection with his purported invention of a solar powered wind turbine and an inexpensive way to remove salt from sea water.
His wife Robin Usher was ordered to serve home confinement for eight months and 12 weekends in a detention facitily.
