According to Tulsa Channel 8, the Broken Arrow police are warning residents to be wary of a scam in which a caller claims to be an IRS agent or other government agency like immigration or law enforcement. They warn that the caller will threaten arrest and freezing of assets as well deportation in an attempt to have the intended victim send money.
If you receive such a call, do not send money, and report the call to authorities, police advise.
