Frisco Texas Attorney Kelly Rogers Sentenced 20 Years-Oil Royalties Fraud 150 150 Rex Securities Law

Kelly Gordon Rogers, an attorney from Frisco, Texas was convicted of first-degree felony theft for stealing $1.3 million from investors in fraudulent oil and gas schemes and was sentenced to 20 years in prison and ordered to pay a $10,000 fine.

The case in Collins County State District Court was prosecuted by Texas State Securities Board Enforcement attorneys Dale Barron, Greta Cantwell and Travis Iles. 

Rogers ,who is 55 and has faced other fraud charges in the past decade, stole money from investors who believed they were investing in non-existent oil and gas royalties. Rogers used the money to pay personal expenses and in attempting to purchase interests in unrelated projects, including a West Virginia coal mine.
