David Krumrey-Former Oppenheimer Stockbroker-Subject of Customer Complaints-The Woodlands, TX

We are investigating former Oppenheimer & Co.  stockbroker David W. Krumrey who was recently discharged by Oppenheimer for attempting to settle a customer complaint without informing the firm. According to FINRA records, Krumrey was employed by Oppenheimer from 2009 until his discharge in 8/2017.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

A customer of Oppenheimer has filed an arbitration seeking damages of $200,000 alleging negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, negligent supervision and breach of contract related to energy investments.

Another customer of Oppenheimer seeks damages of $91,000 alleging that Krumrey made unauthorized trades in his account.

Finra Arbitration Filed vs Cesar Hurtado’s Employer-Oppenheimer-Miami, FL

We recently submitted a FINRA arbitration claim against Oppenheimer & Co.  on behalf of a non- U.S. resident individual and a Bahamian trust, alleging that  recommendations made for the management of retirement funds by Miami-based Oppenheimer broker Cesar Hurtado  were unsuitable and that the accounts were traded excessively.

In addition our clients allege that they were improperly advised by the Oppenheimer broker on other financial matters, including trusts established and managed by Nassau-based former Oppenheimer affiliate , CIBC Trust Company.

Our clients allege that Oppenheimer was negligent and failed to properly supervise broker Hurtado and are seeking damages in excess of $1 million.

According to FINRA records,  Hurtado has been employed by  Oppenheimer & Co since 2003.

Todd Allen Burnett-Oppenheimer & Co. Broker-Discloses Customer Dispute Alleging Churning – St. Louis, MO

According to publicly available records Todd Allen Burnett (CRD#2703620) ,  a  stockbroker who currently is employed by Oppenheimer & Co.  disclose a recently filed customer dispute.

FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

In April of 2017, a customer of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. alleged that unauthorized and unsuitable investments  were made in her account and that the account was churned. The customer is seeking damages of $849,853.62.

Burnett  has been employed by Oppenheimer since 1/2003.

Gregg Templeton – Former Oppenheimer & Co. Broker – Discloses $6.75M Customer Dispute – NYC

According to publicly available records Gregg D. Templeton (CRD#2412775) ,  a  former stockbroker who was previously registered with Oppenheimer & Co., discloses a prior regulatory event, a currently pending customer dispute, 6 prior customer disputes and a termination from employment.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.

IN 4/2017, Templeton was permanently barred from the securities industry by FINRA to resolve allegations that he failed to provide documents and information requested by FINRA in the course of an investigation into allegations that he misused customer funds and committed other sales practice violations.

In 7/2016, a customer of Oppenheimer & Co. alleged unauthorized trading and sought damages of $61,475.  The case was settled for $62,475.

In FINRA case #16-00111  a customer of  Oppenheimer sought damages of $220,000 for unsuitable investments, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and negligent supervision.   The case settled for $562,500.

In currently pending FINRA case 16-02363  a customer of Oppenheimer & Co. alleges fraud and breach of contract and seeks damages of $6,750,000.

Templeton was employed by Oppenheimer & Co. from 1/2007 to 8/2015.   Since that time he was employed briefly by FSC Securities Corporation and Aegis Capital Corp .

Cesar Hurtado Investigation-Oppenheimer Stockbroker–Miami, FL

We are investigating Miami-based Oppenheimer & Co. stockbroker Cesar Augusto Hurtado. FINRA records indicate that Hurtado has been employed by Oppenheimer since 2003. Prior to that he was employed by CIBC World Markets Corp.

Our client is a non-US resident from Central America who alleges damages for misuse of margin borrowing , unsuitable investments in foreign trusts formed on advice from Hurtado.
