Nathan Harmon- Former NEXT Financial Group Broker-Sanctioned by Regulators-San Antonio, TX

Nathan Andrew Harmon entered into a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent  (AWC) with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to resolve allegations that on February 6, 2012, Harmon engaged in an unapproved outside business activity by selling an equity-indexed annuity not approved for sale by his employer NEXT Financial Group.  The cost of the annuity was $190,000.  Case # 2013037822701.

Harmon was fined $10,000 and suspended from association in all capacities with any FINRA member firm for 9 months.

FINRA records indicate Harmon was registered with NEXT Financial Group from 3/2009–2/2014. Prior to that he was registered with Intersecurities, Inc.

Pruco Broker John DuRant Sanctioned by FINRA

October 30, 2014-Savannah, Georgia

John W. DuRant III entered into a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent  (AWC) with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to resolve allegations that between April 28, 2010 and June 21, 2013, he made 27 sales of indexed annuities in the total amount of $741,981. These products were not offered or sponsored by DuRant’s firm and he did not provide prior written notice of his intent to sell the indexed annuities, in violation of FINRA and NASD rules.   Case # 2013039263101.

DuRant was fined $5,000 and suspended from association in all capacities with any FINRA member firm for six months.

FINRA records indicate DuRant was registered with Pruco Securities from 11/1988-11/2013.
