Andrew Keefer Investigation
June 2023 – Orlando, FL
According to publicly available records Andrew J. Keefer , a broker with Independent Financial Partners/IFP Securities, discloses a $500,000 pending customer dispute
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.
In 6/2022, FINRA case #22-01309, filed by a IFP customer, alleged that investments were not suitable given the customer profile, in light of these speculative, non-conventional investments. Accordingly, they assert these recommendations amounted to negligence and a breach of fiduciary duty. Alleged damages are $500,000.
Keefer has been employed by IFP Securities/Independent Financial Partners since 10/2009. Before that time he was with LPL Financial.
