Former concert promoter David Elliott Rosen pleaded guilty to securities fraud in Travis County State District Court and was sentenced to 10 years and ordered to pay restitution of $1.8 million according to the Texas State Securities Board (TSSB).
Rosen operated Rozone Productions LLC which filed for bankruptcy in 2010 and Illuminated Entertainment Group LLC and told his investors their investment funds would be used to secure musicians , including Justin Bieber, the Eagles and the Blackeyed Peas, for concerts.
There were no concerts and the investors money was used for Rosen’s personal expenses according to the TSSB.
